ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Last updated: October 25, 2025
The CVOA Foundation is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, including veterans, family members, donors, and the general public. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to ensure equal access to all individuals, regardless of ability or technology.
What web accessibility is
Web accessibility means providing all users, regardless of physical, sensory, or cognitive ability—equal access to information and functionality. An accessible site enables visitors using assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, or keyboard-only navigation to browse and interact with our content seamlessly.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
The CVOA Foundation website has been designed and updated in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards. These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
To achieve this, we have:
• Added descriptive alternative text to all images
• Structured content with clear headings and logical hierarchy
• Ensured high-contrast text and color combinations
• Enabled keyboard navigation across all menus and forms
• Labeled form fields for screen readers
• Included captioning or transcripts for videos when available
• Regularly tested pages using accessibility evaluation tools
We are continuously reviewing and updating our content to improve accessibility and usability.
